Information
Video taping
is not allowed at our events, as our rules state. In order to provide for those
participants who desire to have a video tape of their routine, we’ll
be taping each performance. They can be ordered at the registration table.
You
are, of course, the only one that can purchase your tape. In the case of
duets, trios, and groups, the teacher must sign for the purchase of the tape.
The cost is $20 for the first routine and $10 for each additional routine on
the same tape, plus a $4 mailing charge per tape. They will be sent to you
within 4 weeks after the show. Videos must be ordered at the show or within
one week after the show. After that time, they may not be available.
We have scheduled the show to
avoid almost all performing time conflicts. If you think you may have one,
check with the registration desk or announcers and they can look up a more
specific performance time for you, or you can use approximately 3 minutes
times each performance to check it out yourself. If it looks like a conflict,
the announcers will help you solve the problem.
All routines are lined up in random order by computer within categories so no
one is always first or last. Everyone is expected to perform in the order
published. If you have a specific scheduling conflict, please discuss it with
the announcer, otherwise you need to be ready to perform at your time in
order not to cause scheduling problems for others! If you perform out of
order, video playback during awards may not be possible.
There will be large crowds so start out early and take your time getting to
where you are going.
Line up for your dance only about 2-3 numbers ahead to avoid crowding in the
wings.
Turn in your music tapes 3 numbers ahead of when you perform to the
announcer. It should not be in a case and it needs to be labeled with the
name of your routine and contestant number. You may pick up your tape as soon
as you are done performing.
Seat saving in general is not allowed. Let’s let consideration to
others guide our actions! If you are leaving for more than a few minutes,
please let others use your seat. Many people wish to sit and watch for only a
short time to see their child’s performance. Please be courteous to
them and they will do the same for you.

During group awards, the entire group is welcome to come on stage, but select
only one person to accept the award and to go back to the awards table to
collect the awards. This person needs to know the number of people in your
group.
Please don’t sit in or block aisles.
If a teacher needs her/his music played at a speed faster or slower than
normal, please tell the announcer when you hand in your tape.
Please take care of you own trash, and don’t litter the auditorium.
